Kyrkans Fastighetssamverkan Stockholm AB is a company within the Church of Sweden. KFS is the first within the Church of Sweden to offer consulting services in the real estate sector to local entities such as parishes and pastorates. We also have other clients such as the National Property Board of Sweden and the City of Stockholm. Our goal is to deliver comprehensive property management and project management expertise to our clients, ensuring that cultural heritage is preserved and other properties are utilized as effectively as possible. We have a project department with both project managers, building architects, and constructors working together. Today we have offices in Stockholm and Växjö and will also establish ourselves in Skåne.

KFS operates in large parts of the country, but with a focus on the dioceses of Stockholm and Uppsala. Today, we carry out assignments for approximately 30 parishes in the dioceses of Stockholm and Uppsala. The portfolio consists of both churches with cultural-historical value and modern parish houses and residences. The Church of Sweden owns about 25,000 buildings, making it one of the country's largest property owners.

About the role
As a building constructor with us, you will play a key role in analyzing, calculating, and developing construction solutions for existing buildings, often with high cultural-historical value. You will be part of the project management team and will collaborate with colleagues in both construction, architecture, and construction project management. You will work closely with a lead constructor in Växjö, who has specialist knowledge of historical buildings, as well as another constructor colleague at the Stockholm office. Your role will be to contribute your construction expertise and experience from working with existing buildings, preferably older ones.

You will have project responsibility and assist the lead constructor with calculations, drawings, and investigations, as well as support other colleagues in the office with construction issues. Part of the job will also be to coordinate the work of constructors at the Stockholm office. Travel occurs a few times a month, mainly in Stockholm and Gävle, but occasionally to other locations.

Your main tasks

• Perform construction calculations and produce drawings for building projects.
• Adapt and develop construction solutions for renovation projects.
• Investigate and analyze problems in existing structures, such as cracks, rot damage, or deformations.
• Propose and design measures and follow up on implementation.
• Contribute construction expertise to the entire organization.
• Coordinate/lead the work of constructors at the Stockholm office.

Who are you?
We are looking for a building constructor who combines technical sharpness and experience with a genuine passion for cultural-historical buildings and their long-term preservation. You have a sharp analytical ability and work methodically, with a sense of detail. Your precision and solution-oriented approach allow you to tackle technical challenges with both accuracy and creativity. At the same time, you are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, where you contribute your expertise and support both colleagues and external partners.

We would like you to have:

• Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on construction, or a degree as a building engineer.
• Several years of experience as a building constructor focusing on existing buildings.
• Experience with calculations and construction drawings for existing buildings as well as new construction.
• Familiarity with working in CAD environments and handling 3D modeling.
• Category B driver's license, as travel is required for the position.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing.

It is a merit if you also have:

• Experience with project responsibility and project management.
• Experience in leading other constructors.
• Knowledge of the entire construction process.
• Knowledge and understanding of cultural-historical buildings and traditional building construction, e.g., masonry and timber constructions.
• Knowledge in geotechnics and moisture mechanics.
• Experience in 3D coordination of model files and coordinating installations in 3D models.
• Experience with customer contact and collaboration with clients and contractors.
